Second lecture at secondary school Šolski center Celje, Gimnazija Lava
On Tuesday (20 March 2018) and Thursday (22 March 2018) we conducted second lecture for students on topics of separation of powers, media literacy and youth political participation at the High School Šolski center Celje, Gimnazija Lava. Before we introduced students with the media as the fourth branch of power, we acquainted them with the separation of power into three branches. We explained separation of power in Slovenia and in the European Union. We then continued with the media: the tasks, functions and its role. We repeated the differences between refugee status, the migrant and the asylum seeker, and the rights and duties stemming from these statuses. In the last part of the lecture, we focused on the phenomenon of "fake news" and the (youth) media literacy.
