Tackling Radicalism through Active Citizenship of Europe in Schools (trACES)

On Friday 22 June 2018 a promotional event was organized in Gornja Radgona, in order to promote EU and national civic knowledge and identity. The event was organized in the frame of the EU project Jean Monnet Action, EU@School, titled "trACES – Tackling Radicalism through Active Citizenship of Europe in Schools", which is coordinated by Assoc. prof. dr. Tomaž Deželan.

The event was divided into two parts. In the introductory part, Miha Zimšek from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, delivered an interactive lecture on the emergence of Slovenian statehood. Later on, three groups competed in citizenship education quiz, which forms a basic part of our citizenship toolbox. The toolbox was promoted by performing a competition between classes, thus also nurturing the class identity.
